Aurora Marthens
Soprano

Soprano Aurora Marthens won the first national Helsinki Lied competition in 2015 together with pianist Elias Miettinen. She also won the national Timo Mustakallio competition in 2017. She reached the semifinals in the Glyndebourne Opera Cup in 2018 and won third prize in the national Lappeenranta competition in 2019.
Significant debuts in Finland and abroad were the Turku Philharmonic ”Young Soloists” concert and the New York Carnegie Hall Kurt Weill Hall ”Young Talents” concert in 2014.
In 2019, she debuted in Madrid with the Orquesta y Coro Nacional under Miguel Hart-Bedoyas, performing Solveig’s part in Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt. In February 2020, Marthens debuted with the Berlin Philharmonic in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. In 2020 she was offered a contract with the Wiener Staatsoper soloist ensemble, where she sang in 2022–2024.
In September 2024, she won second prize and the audience award in the renowned ARD competition in Munich.
