- Korsholm Music Festival Master Classes 2023
  Welcome to participate in our Master Classes!
  
  Korsholm Music Festival arranges master courses in the summer of 2023. The courses are held in Vaasa, Finland July 25th until July 29th, 2023. The master class teachers are

  The Master Classes are mainly intended for professional students in Finland and abroad, as well as for music school students who have already advanced in their studies.
  
  Since the early years, there has been a tradition of arranging master classes during the festival. Many of the musicians are professors in their own genre and are giving master classes around the world.

  The master classes are organized in cooperation with Vaasa Summer University and Kuula-opisto.

  The Master classes will take place at the Kuula-opisto in Vaasa. Two master class concerts are scheduled in the Music Festival program. Korsholm Music Festival reserves the right to change schedules and concert dates.
  
  Master class fee: 350 €
  The fee includes 4*45 minutes lessons. Additional lessons can be purchased for a fee of 80 € for each 45 minutes. Master class participants have free admission to the festival concerts, if there are seats available. The tuition fee will also cover one lunch buffet each day for the duration of the master course.
  
  Accommodation is not included in the tuition fee. Course participants can book rooms from the GreenStar hotel, which is situated close to the teaching venue (approx. 950 m).
  
  Application period starts on 1 March and closes on 31 May.

- Violin
  
  Mari Tampere-Bezrodny is professor of violin at the Estonian Music Academy and Sibelius-Academy in Finland. She has taught at Moscow Conservatoire, and she has held regular Master Classes in Madrid.
- Clarinet
  
  Harri Mäki is Professor of Woodwinds at the Sibelius Academy and was principal clarinetist of the Tapiola Sinfonietta from 1988–2018. In 2012, he was honoured to receive the Pro Musica Award for his merits as a performer and a teacher.
- Piano
  
  Paavali Jumppanen is one of the most active and internationally successful Finnish pianists of his generation. In addition to his international soloist career, Jumppanen is a highly appreciated teacher, who has been a visiting professor at the Sibelius Academy.
- Accompaniment
  
  Mikael Kemppainen has been awarded in many piano and chamber music competitions, for instance first prize in the Jyväskylä Piano Competition in 2001. Nowadays, he works as a lecturer of accompaniment at the Turku Conservatory. He is also a familiar face as a pianist at master classes and competitions.
