The Music Festival offers more than just concerts. This year we are organising five talks with artistic director Jan-Erik Gustafsson and the festival's artists. The talks will take place in the festival centre. In addition, we cooperate with Vaasa-Korsholm guides rf and offer three free guided tours in connection with the concerts.

The guided tours are free of charge and do not need to be booked in advance.

25.7. 18.00 Vaasa City Hall – Beautiful, historical Vaasa

See, hear and learn about sights, historical places and interesting personalities in the centre of Vaasa. The tour starts outside the City Hall and ends at the Ritz well before the concert starts. The tour is in Finnish and Swedish.

26.7. 16.45 Replot Church – History of Replot

On the tour you will hear about heroic pilots, times of hardship, smugglers, Russian war trains, the hunter's movement, interesting villagers and, of course, land uplift. The walk ends with a visit to the leaning church in Replot. The tour ends in time for the concert. The tour is in Finnish and Swedish and starts at the church parking lot.

28.7. kl. 18.00 The history of Ostrobothnia on the bus

On the bus on the way to the concert in Vähäkyrö, a guide accompanies us and tells us about the exciting history of Ostrobothnia. We'll hear about war, famine and hardship – but also bright stories about the villages.

 If ready-made concert excursions are not your thing, you can plan your own kind of program to go with your concert visits! Vaasa is at its best in the summertime. Whether you want to go to the beach or nature trails, enjoy an art exhibition or go shopping, you have plenty of options. And the cafes and restaurants in the Vaasa region are so wonderful that you should try to visit as many as possible!
