The tango plays a significant part in Finnish culture and identity. The Finnish state of mind is clearly audible in our traditionally minor-key tangos. Longing, love and melancholy are central themes in the tango stories told by Toivo Kärki, Unto Mononen and many others, which have managed to touch the deepest feelings of this northern people.

A dazzling lineup brings the listener along in the whirls of tango nostalgia. The band consists of soprano Mari Palo, guitarist Jarmo Saari, accordeonist Niko Kumpuvaara and bassist Ville Herrala.
